How it works

Enter the total disbursed outstanding balance in each stage, not just the additional tranche. Each stage lasts for the entered number of days. The interest-only model applies interest to those balances, while showing the sanctioned amount not yet disbursed after the last stage.

Questions and answers

Can I use the example values for my own calculation?

The example values illustrate the calculation. Replace every input with your own information, especially dates, rates and the selected operation.

Is pre-EMI calculated on the full sanctioned amount?

This model uses disbursed outstanding amounts, consistent with the interest-only pre-EMI option described in the linked bank explanation. Check your contract: regular EMI, capitalised interest or a different disbursement arrangement needs a different schedule.

Why are some results rounded?

Results display up to 8 decimal places. Calculations use the unrounded values; very small values use scientific notation. JavaScript floating-point arithmetic can introduce tiny rounding differences.

Are my inputs sent to a server?

The calculator processes inputs in your browser. Its code does not send your values to a server.
